I'm excited to announce I've become a contributor for Around the Foghorn (a website dedicated to the San Francisco Giants), Golden Gate Sports (a website focused on Bay Area Sports), and become a writer for GrandStand Central (a website dedicated to the intersection of sports, politics, and culture). Because of this, I won't be doing much sports blogging on here anymore. I still will keep the poetry coming when I have the time, but make sure to follow me on Twitter and Instagram (@maddelucchi) to stay updated.

As free-agency approached, a number of things became clear for the Golden State Warriors. First,
I repeat, this isn't happening. But, it's a thought experiment I always love to run through. If the Warriors wanted to blow the team up what would be the best way to go about it?
In game 5 of the Western Conferences Semifinals the Warriors were in another dogfight. After scraping past the Houston Rockets in the 2018 Western Conference Finals they were back against familiar foes. This time though, the Rockets had their second best player Chris Paul and weren’t missing a record number of three point shots.
The Golden State Warriors staved off elimination against the odds in foreign land. After coming out of the gate landing a barrage of three pointers the hometown Toronto Raptors did what they’d done so well throughout this NBA Finals, righted the storm. I'm right there with the rest of Giants' fans hoping Bryce comes to the Bay. However, one team looks to me like the ideal home for Bryce and I haven't heard enough about them, so here we are.
Super Bowl LIII seemed destined to be a changing of the guard. The New England Patriots' have been surrounded by drama ever since they traded Jimmy Garoppollo to the 49ers in the middle of last season. Reports swirled that Patriots' coach Bill Belichik had lost a power struggle with future Hall of Fame Quarterback Tom Brady and team owner Robert Kraft. Another saga revolved around Tom Brady's personal trainer Alex Guerrero. Guerrero, largely credited with helping Brady form his a personal training regiment that involves dangerous levels of pseudoscience. While, the relationship between the Pats' organization and Guerrero were already strained, Brady managed to recruit teammate and star tight end Rob Gronkowski to become Guerrero's client. Gronkowski has dealt with injury issues throughout his career and even considered retirement before this past season, but Patriots' brass thinks TB12 caused Gronkowski's health issues this year.
Yet, with all the drama continuing to swirl the Patriots hoisted the Lombardi trophy for the 6th |
